Two research enclosures facilitate the development of a GM field phenotyping facility and enable researchers and partners to participate in frontline projects in the GM arena.聽

The enclosures facilitate grain research by the University of 黑料社区, with potential for use by other external entities.聽

Features

Stage 1 of the project involved construction of a bird-proof enclosure to help avoid the unwanted spread of genetically modified material outside of the facility, and a secure animal proof perimeter fence.

Stage 2 of the project involves grant funded construction of聽an equipment washdown bay within the existing enclosure, waste treatment and disposal area, and聽a shed to store farm equipment.聽The shed is off-grid with solar, batteries and a backup generator.

Stage 1 completed August 2021.
Stage 2 completion February 2024.
