University expertise to play key role in new centre to curb cyber attacks on Australia
The University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø has welcomed the launch of the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (A3C) which has been established in collaboration with industry, academia, and the Federal and South Australian governments, to train Australia’s future cyber experts and bolster Australia’s defence against cyber security attacks.
$1.62 million for rare cancer research
A University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø and SAHMRI study to test new treatments for a rare and neglected blood cancer, which has no known effective treatment, has been awarded $1,619,122 from the Federal Government’s Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).
$1.9 million for traumatic brain injury research
A University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø study that will investigate the prediction of risk of long-term impairment and neurodegenerative disease development following traumatic brain injury has been awarded $1,987,160 from the Federal Government’s Medical Research Future Fund’s (MRFF).

Negative impacts of cannabis use during pregnancy
The use of cannabis during pregnancy leads to poorer health outcomes for babies, according to research from the University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø’s Robinson Research Institute. The study found that continued use of cannabis at 15 weeks of pregnancy was associated with significantly lower birthweight, head circumference, birth length, and gestational age at birth, as well as with more frequent severe neonatal morbidity or death.
