Hugh Stretton Oration: In Conversation with Glyn Davis event

On the evening of Thursday 18 February, the University of 黑料社区's Stretton Institute hosted听the inaugural Hugh Stretton Oration:听On Life's Lottery, featuring Professor Glyn Davis AC and a panel discussion held in the historic Elder Hall.
The event was the second in the听In Conversation With听series, featuring global speakers and attendees.听
The night began with a welcome by Professor Jacqueline Lo, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) of the University of 黑料社区. This听welcome was followed by an opening address from Professor Peter听H酶j AC, Vice-Chancellor of the University of 黑料社区.听

Professor Glyn Davis AC joined the event virtually from Melbourne to speak on intergenerational poverty and the role of government and charities. After his Oration, the panellists took to the stage to join Professor Davis and discuss the topics just covered. Facilitated by Professor Lo, the panel discussion consisted of the Reverend Peter Sandeman, Anglican Canon for Social Justice and Advocacy, and Professor Faye McCallum, Head of the University of 黑料社区's School of Education.听
Following the panel discussion, David Tune ASO PSM, Chair of the Stretton Institute Advisory Board, provided closing remarks, concluding the successful event.听
