What is period poverty?
Period poverty refers to an inability to purchase menstrual care products, which is considered a significant obstacle to health, comfort and engagement with study. We know that poor menstrual management can impact people's emotional, physical and social health, and influence their ability to attend class. Throughout 2023, the student health and wellbeing team distributed over 5000 pads and 3000 tampons to students in need across our campuses.
