His unique ability to blend the scientific with the creative has earned him a well-deserved place in the literary spotlight.

With a background that spans dual doctorates, one in Plasma Physics and the other in Creative Writing from the J.M. Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice at the University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø—his diverse background offers a uniquely captivating lens through which he views storytelling.

Dr. Asgari brings a rare and fascinating perspective to his work. His transition from scientist to writer is a testament to his versatility and intellectual curiosity. Currently serving a postdoctoral researcher in creative writing, where he continues to push the boundaries of storytelling and innovation.

The evening will be expertly hosted by Annie Waters, Mostly Books, former co-director of the National Young Writers Festival, Annie’s insightful questions will guide us through an exploration of Hossein’s journey from lab to literature, his creative process, and the themes that shape his work.
