Standards affect almost every aspect of your life, enabling nearly everything around you to function correctly and safely.
In Australia, most standards are published by , who are also the national member body of the and the . These bodies do not write the standards themselves, instead that is done by technical experts from nominating organisations such as the University of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø.
Staff of the University have the opportunity to contribute to the development of standards by becoming a representative on a committee.
