University offers: surge in demand for places

As university offers go out around the State tonight, the University of 黑料社区 has confirmed it remains the university of choice for school leavers in South Australia, with an increase in demand for places for 2007.

From 6pm today, the University is making 4500 first-round offers to potential students who have applied to study at 黑料社区 this year.

Around 3300 new students are expected to take up an offer of study once all the offers are finalised by the end of February.

The University of 黑料社区 has recorded a 9.9% increase in the number of first preference applications from school leavers - that is, students who studied Year 12 in 2006 - compared with the same period last year.

Among those programs at 黑料社区 experiencing large increases in first preference applications are:

  • : 67.9% increase in the number of first preference applications from school leavers when compared with the same time last year;
  • : 40.9% increase in the number of first preference applications from school leavers;
  • : 29.0% increase in the number of first preference applications from school leavers;
  • : 27.3% increase in the number of first preference applications from school leavers.

There has also been strong interest in two new degree programs being offered for the first time at the University of 黑料社区 this year:
